DOUBLEFACER

COMPLETE  REBUILD 

The double facer is rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, bushings, sprockets and other required power transmission components. It will be safety guarded and painted three colors with the customer specifying the primary color and shipped in a like new, re-manufactured condition.

Scope Of Work

 

    1. Dismantling
      1. Completely dismantle head pulley down to the bedplate
      2. Remove old lagging from all drums
      3. Scale and steam clean head pulley bedplate, heating and cooling section frames and base legs.
      4. Clean all remaining parts.
    2. Machine Frames and Housings
      1. Inspect all bores, mating housings and parts required for this rebuild
      2. Remachine, rebore and bush any worn side frames, housings and parts.
      3. Repair or replace as needed all links, pins, retainer plates, collars and spacers
      4. Repair or replace all cross shafts, link arms and other mechanical components
    3. Head Pulley
      1. Change drive from left hand to right hand.
      2. Install new bearings.
      3. Apply new lagging to drums
    4. Recondition Steam Chest
      1. Hydrostatic test 29 steam chests
      2. Skim grind all usable chests
      3. Hydrostatic test steam chest after grinding
      4. Replace gaskets and bolts on steam flanges
    5. Ballast Rolls
      1. Recondition all ballast rolls in heating and cooling sections
      2. Repair all worn bearing bores
      3. Install new bearings and pins
      4. Repair or replace all roll brackets and levers
    6. Belt Lift and Idler Rolls
      1. Recondition or replace belt lift motor
      2. Repair or replace all racks, pinion gears and cross shafts
      3. Recondition all idlers, tensioners and belt tracking rolls.
    7. Option To Add Interfic Racer Facer
      1. This option eliminates ballast rolls, pins, brackets and bearings in the heating section as well as the top rollers in the cooling section.
    8. Option For Steam Chest Piping
      1. Fabricate new welded steam headers for feed and return lines.
      2. Supply all flexible braided hoses, orifice unions, fittings and all necessary support hardware.
      3. Headers mounted and pre-piped in our facility with inlet and outlet lines on the drive side
