GLUE MACHINE REBUILD

Scope Of Work

  1. Dismantling
    1. Complete dismantling of machine down to the bedplate.
    2. Scale and steam clean bedplate and side frames removing all paint.
    3. Clean all remaining parts.
  2. Machining side frames and housings
    1. Inspect all bores, mating housings and parts required for this conversion and rebuild.
    2. Machine, bore and bush any worn side frames, housings and parts.
    3. Repair or replace, as needed all links, pins, retainer plates, collars and spacers.
  3. Recondition preheaters and idler rolls
    1. Repair all worn journals and bearing areas
    2. Polish roll face across body
    3. Hydrostatic test preheaters
  4. Recondition Glue and Metering Rolls
    1. Repair all worn journals, bearing areas and key ways
    2. Recondition the body of each roll to customers desired specifications providing the rolls are in workable condition (price for new rolls is additional).
  5. Gearboxes and Motors
    1. Eurodrive K77LP184 gearboxes with 7.24:1 ratio
    2. 5 HP Reliance RPM AC motors, model L1831C
  6. Drive and Controls
    1. Reliance GV3000/SE AC Drive, 5HP, 460V
      1. Flux vector control
      2. Closed loop speed control
      3. Constant torque
      4. Inverter type: PWM with IGBT’s Isolated analog inputs
      5. Analog output
      6. Dynamic response: 15 Hz speed loop bandwidth, 150 Hz torque loop bandwidth
      7. Constant torque speed range: 1,000:1
      8. Speed regulation: 0.01% over a 100:1 CT range
      9. Main input power circuit breaker
      10. 20KVA, 460P / 460S isolation transformer
      11. E stop circuit with reset
      12. All components mounted, wired and tested in an E-9000 single bay floor mounted, filter ventilated enclosure.
  7. Operator Control Station
    1. Dynapar Tachometer
  8. General Parts and Repairs
    1. Replace rider rolls with Interfic contact bars accompanied with pneumatic lift.
    2. New stainless steel glue pans
    3. New scraper blades and deflectors
    4. New pneumatic cylinders, valves and accessories
    5. New Johnson rotary steam joint
    6. Complete piping of steam, starch and air
    7. Pre-wire motors and push-buttons to an electrical enclosure mounted on the drive side
    8. New bearings, seals, bushings, drive gears and other power transmission components.
    9. Complete safety guarding
    10. Three color paint system (customer to select primary color).
