NOBULL1 Doublefacer Direct Drive Conversion 
and Bull Gear Replacement System

        The NOBULL 1 direct drive doublefacer conversion replaces the bull gear drive system. It increases the maximum speed and speed response capabilities of the doublefacer, provides an overall reduction in noise and vibration, reduces maintenance requirements and eliminates shorts and longs caused by bull gear backlash.

        The NOBULL 1 conversion consists of one 150 HP motor with right angle Eurodrive gear reducers coupled to the upper and lower head pulley drums. The bull gears and the existing right angle gearbox are eliminated.

        The motor and gear reducers are furnished in a fabricated steel enclosure specifically designed to match the head pulley arrangement of the existing doublefacer. The bull gears are replaced with tapered mounting hubs, which are connected to the reducers with universal shafts. All electrical components are pre wired to a junction box. This arrangement allows for quick field installation without modifications to the main journals.

· Reliance GV 3000 AC Vector Drive, .01% speed regulation

· Primary drive fusing

· Allen Bradley processor with 16 digital inputs, 16 relay outputs, 2 analog outputs and data highway.

DOUBLE FACER MOTOR

· Reliance RPM - AC motor, 150 HP

· DPG-FV with blower and filter

· Encoder feedback

GEAR REDUCERS

· Qty (1) - Model K127; 146 HP rating, for upper drum

· Qty (1) - Model K107; 79 HP rating, for lower drum

· Helical bevel right angle design

FRAME AND POWER TRANSMISSION COMPONENTS

· Custom fabricated heavy duty, free-standing frame to support the upper and lower reducers and motor

· Fully-enclosed with access gate

· Interior light and exhaust fan

· High speed belt drive for motor

· Output universal shafts for upper and lower pulleys with taper lock hubs

· All components mounted and pre-wired to junction box

· Painted to customer color specification
